A Five Book Giveaway of This Premium Picture Book That Just Arrived on my Doorstep

EEK! Look what arrived on my doorstep a few days ago! This, ladies and gentlemen, is the first copy of Twas the Evening of Christmas, a brand new, premium picture book with a cover “that comes alive with foil and sculpted embossing.” (Thank you, Zonderkidz, for that lovely description!)

It was a boiling hot 85 degrees, as I perched the book on the table outside and took this photo…

And even though, against all that blue sky and green trees, Christmas seems a long way away, it will actually be upon us in a mere 143 days! So, for those of you who are early Christmas shoppers, you should definitely enter the five book giveaway of this new book on Goodreads.

Written for children aged 4-8, ‘Twas the Evening of Christmas echoes the familiar language and rhythm of Clement C. Moore’s classic, but focuses on Jesus, rather than Santa, who is, after all, the true hero of Christmas.

The book begins:

’Twas the evening of Christmas, when all through the town,

Every inn was so crowded, no room could be found.

Tired Mary and Joseph, who went door to door,

At last found a place on a small stable floor…

And here’s your first peek inside that small stable floor, with the visit of the Magi depicted so beautifully by illustrator Elena Selivanova:

The book will be published on October 3rd but it’s available for preorder now.

And look…here’s the video!

Isn’t that adorable! Now I’m just waiting for Snuggle Time Christmas to arrive on my doorstep, then I’ll be sharing a peek inside that book too!

Shared a few places, Pinterest, G+, Twitter. I think more people need to know the real meaning of Christmas. Sure Santa is fun, but there’d be no Christmas at all if our Lord Jesus Christ had not been willing to come to Earth and be born amongst us for the purpose of a way of covering our sin if we are willing to let him do so.
