About Glenys

Although I live in Michigan, USA, I was born and raised in a little village in northern England.

I grew up in a big old house, with two wonderful parents and seven siblings. My dad was the one who introduced me to the gospel. My mum was the one who encouraged me to work with children.

And at primary school, my teacher was the one who urged me to write. One day a week, I was one of the lucky few withdrawn from the classroom to sit in big, comfy armchairs in the teachers’ lounge. There, in front of a roaring log fire, with pencil and paper at the ready, I would write.

Four long decades later, I would find myself living across the pond, married to an amazing man, mum to four wonderful children, and grandma to three bouncing boys and one gorgeous girl. And as if all that wasn’t glorious enough, I somehow became an author, despite giving up on my first book half way through.

And if you would have told me then, that this book would one day become a series, that I would begin a second series, and a third… I never would have believed you. The only possible explanation is that our great God is able to do immeasurably more than all I could ever ask or possibly imagine.

And to God, alone, be the glory.

I discovered your website by chance. So sorry to read here that Joan had died. She was a lovely, funny, energetic lady. I have often wondered over the years how you were all getting along. Your book looks wonderful.
    Love to you all. Julia

Hi Julia! It’s great to hear from you! David and I are well, and we have three adorable grandsons, with a grand daughter on the way! It was sad for us to travel back to England for Joan’s funeral, but what a blessing that we could be there. I’m so glad you found my website (more books are to follow this one!). I hope you are well and happy. Stay in touch. Love, Glenys

Glenys, I love your books. The most recent one coming out in a few days about Mriam and her fears will go right into the hands of a granddaughter who does have fears..we have prayed together about them and experienced God take care of the fears one by one. This book will be such an encouragement for her. Thank you for allowing The Lord to use you for his glory in such ways that do change little (and big lives). God Bless you, Sue

    Glenys,

I absolutely love introducing your books to my 1st grade students. I give them for First Communion gifts and other times. I am hoping to place a bug in your ear to perhaps create a teen version – I feel my own children could benefit from a love letter from God at a time they question his existence.

Please continue this series — you have so much to give and so many eager to read and share your gifts!

    Warm Regards and Blessings.

Hello Lora, Thank you so much for commenting here and letting me know about sharing my books with your first grade students. That touches my heart. I have never thought of writing a teen version of Love Letters from God. Thank you for thinking of that…it’s definitely something to think and pray about. I hope you saw my newest title in the series, which is Easter Love Letters from God. I have a free, downloadable activity and resource pack to accompany the book if you’re interested in that for your students. Let me know!

Hello Elida, thanks for contacting me! I’m afraid the books aren’t available in Spanish…yet, although some are in French, Korean and Italian.
It is not something I have any control over, and the best I can suggest is that you contact the publisher, Zonderkidz, to request that they are printed in Spanish. I hope that happens!

    Dear Glenys,
We have absolutely loved your book little Mole finds hope! You are such an encouragement to Amelia by bringing it to her and encouraging her and what she did. The book is so it well expressed for little children and very insightful. You also chose a wonderful illustrator to accompany your words. We just purchased the one about Christmas and a little Mole. We’d love to stop by and thank you but I don’t remember where you said you lived on our street. This is the only place I could think of since I don’t do Facebook or Twitter to figure it out. My email address is mimimicahsmom@gmail.com.

    Hope and peace,
    Melissa (your neighbor)
