What I Want My Granddaughter To Know…

Meet Colette, my first granddaughter.

This little girl, with the pony-tail tuft bouncing around on top of her head, is full of personality and fun. She’s not yet two years old,  but already she can hold Grandma’s new book the right way round, lift the flaps, and see the pictures. It will be quite a while before she can read the words. But when she does, I want her to know that for every hero in the Bible, there’s always a heroine…

For every Moses, there’s a Mary.

For every David, there’s a Deborah.

For every Samuel, there’s a Sarah.

And for every Elijah, there’s an Esther.

I want my granddaughter to know that for every warrior in the Bible, there’s a woman of worth.

And most of all, I want her to know that she’s one of them too.

Thank you for inspiring little girls everywhere with the reminder that the Bible is full of stories of courageous women! Cute little granddaughter only makes your story more compelling. 🙂

Audrianna loves her book. I gave it to her at Easter. She is one strong little girls, so I know that she will find the strength in the women of the Bible. Thanks, Glenys!
