Happy One Year Anniversary to ‘Twas the Evening of Christmas! Who Wants to Win a Copy?

On October 3rd one year ago, Twas the Evening of Christmas was published. In its first year, this premium picture book received well over 100 five-star reviews on Amazon, was a finalist in the 2018 ECPA awards, climbed into the CBA Bestseller lists and was chosen by both Barnes & Noble and Hobby Lobby as a featured Christmas title.

Written in the familiar rhythm of the Clement C Moore classic, this book focuses on Jesus, rather than Santa, who is, after all, the real hero of Christmas. To celebrate its one year anniversary, I have three copies to give away (courtesy of my awesome publisher, Zonderkidz).

Here’s three easy ways to enter and four chances to win!

The favorite character in Christmas always has to be Jesus. But in your book in particular, I really like the cow and the lamb that are standing together. Thanks for this contest!

Jesus is the reason for the season, so that is my favorite. I like the animals, especially the sheep. There is Mary and Joseph, the shepherds, the angels, etc. I think about all the old Christmas songs like “Joy To the World”. Jesus-what a wonderful gift.

Oh Glenys, I’m new to the Children’s books world, and am seeing this for the first time. Wow, I’m moved by the reverence it inspires. I can’t wait to read it to children that come into my life (I didn’t get to have my own, but so many come and go through Church service and friends.) . I would love to read it to a sunday school class and discuss their favorites parts and characters. You are masterful at channeling the wonder and creativity of a child. Thank you! much love, Patti.

The Shepherds. The shepherds are my favorite. Ordinary people called to witness amazing things. Just like us. 🙂

I would say in the Christmas Story, the animals. To see the ordinary was the place that God was born. It shows that he was here to be like the ordinary and to struggle like us as humans. I love that the animals were there to greet him and show us these things.

I just purchased your book and I really enjoy it! I saw you mention in a facebook post that you have a free activity and resource packet which includes a play adaptation of the book. I was wondering if that has been published yet? I love the book so much that I would love to have my children’s ministry use it as part of the Christmas Eve Children’s program. Please let me know when you will have that published and where I could find it. Thank you!
