The illustrations captured my heart—they are perfect for children. Soft, whimsical, colorful and kind—each image enhances the story well. I also love Cee Biscoe’s delightful depiction of diverse children, a much-needed trend in children’s books.       Jeanne Doyon

This is a beautifully illustrated book with brown-skinned people throughout. The text is quick and simple rhymes that even a 1 year old can handle. We have fun finding familiar items in the pictures and our little one now points to the pictures of Jesus and exclaims, “JESUS!”     Ann DeRooy

Got this in the mail today! My 5 year old saw me open the box and then promptly picked up the book and said, “this looks like it’s for me!!” We read the whole thing tonight at bedtime. The rhyme and simple but beautiful stories is so lovely, just a great way to introduce/remind little ones about God’s love. And the illustrations are PERFECT. Another winner for Mrs. Nellist! Our toddler loves this series and is already enjoying this new book. The bright pictures capture her attention. The short poems are perfect for naptime and bedtime reading. The size of the book is easy for her little hands to hold. I love the authors retelling of these well known and enjoyed Bible stories. Shawn Howell
